Circles
Circles Cohort 4 starting October 2024!

Dinner, youth programming & childcare provided!
Heights of Hope partners with Circles, USA & Good Samaritan Ministries to offer Circles, an 18 - month national program designed to empower and equip families to move out of poverty and thrive. The method is intentionally relationship- and community-driven and brings together people from all walks of life to support our Circle leaders and create change in our community. Watch the videos on the Circles USA web page to learn how the program works.
The program starts with training and equipping leaders from our neighborhood who identify their strengths and create long term goals. Leaders are then each matched with two to three allies from our neighborhood and greater community, who come alongside them to offer support and encouragement. This method is rooted in the belief that the responsibility for both poverty and prosperity rests not only in the hands of individuals, but also with societies, institutions, and communities.
Here are ways you can get involved:
Become a Circle Leader: Individuals who are looking to make changes by taking leadership in their lives. These are the people setting goals (financial, educational, etc.) to help them gain better financial security & build lasting, healthy relationships with their allies and other Circles participants.
Become a Circle Ally: Friends and community members who commit to supporting and encouraging a Circle Leader through relationship building and consistency. Allies believe that Circles Leaders have the ability to thrive and want to be part of the journey.
Join a Resource Team: Jobs and education (JET) , Community, & Big View teams support our Circles group with special events, training, and resources.
Provide a meal: Each Tuesday we have a meal for all our leaders and allies. This not only eases a time and financial burden on families, but also gives our group a moment to relax together around some good food before getting to work. People who provide meals can come early and prepare it in the kitchen at Niekerk, or bring it pre-made and ready to serve. We are also looking for local restaurants to provide meals once a month.
