What Is A Circle Ally?
A Circle Ally is a volunteer who believes Circle Leaders can change their lives and achieve their goals. Circle Allies make a commitment to encourage Circle Leaders.
The best allies are:
Positive
Patient
Good listeners
Willing to learn about the struggles facing low-income families
Circle Allies get matched with a Circle Leader, then meet weekly as part of their Circle. Allies listen, encourage, respond, and offer guidance as needed while their Circle Leader works toward his or her goals.
The total program is a weekly, 18 - month commitment. The basic requirements are:
Participate in Ally training to help increase understanding of poverty in our community.
Be committed to attend weekly meetings & connect with your Leader outside of the weekly meeting on a monthly basis.
Partner with other Allies to help your Leader reach their goals.
Be intentional about becoming a true friend and supporter of your Leader.
All weekly meetings include a meal and childcare. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact Mandy at (616) 589 - 6612, email mandyb@heightsofhope.org, or fill out our CONTACT FORM.
