Youth Leadership Coalition

Youth Leadership Coalition is an 8-week summer program for students currently in 6th-10th grade (entering 7th-11th). We meet every Wednesday and Thursday in the summer from 10am-12pm at the Heights of Hope Community Center from June 10-August 12, 2026. Participants explore their strengths and leadership potential, learn job readiness skills, build relationships with other ambitious youth and leaders in our community, and have real work experience at an internship. Internship times vary. DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION  SUBMISSION IS FRIDAY, MAY 15, 2026.

YLC functions like a job. Participants fill out applications and go through an interview process to be selected and to be matched with their internship, then clock in and out each day to earn a small stipend. In partnership with Community Action House for financial literacy, youth are able to earn  up to $700.
