Save the Date for the 14th Annual 5k and 1.5 Mile Fun Run:

Saturday evening, August 10, 2024!

2023 Race Info

There's a pace for everyone at this year's WINTER-THEMED Heights of Hope 5k and 1.5 Mile Fun Run!

Race competitively or walk with neighbors. Push a stroller or jog with your kids! Volunteer along the route or at the finish line, or just come and cheer.

After Party:

The HOH 5k is part race, part community block party! Stick around after your event to cheer on other racers while enjoying a pulled pork dinner from Earl's Meats, hand picked blueberries, and some delicious Biggby iced coffee. (Food and drinks are free for all participants and volunteers. Spectators can pay a small fee for dinner.)

An awards ceremony will take place after the finish of the 1.5 mile race with awards, medals, tacky podium flowers, and raffle prizes. Must be present to win, but you won't want to miss it anyway!

Packet Pickup:

4-7pm Friday 8/11 at Calvary on 8th, and before races.

Late Registration:

Online registration closes Thursday, 8/10 at 12pm. Register at packet pick up or on race day from 3-5pm for 5k or 3-6pm for 1.5 mile

Your registration fee supports the work of Heights of Hope in our community. Thank you!

Register by July 30 to guarantee a t-shirt. Late registrations will receive t-shirts if available.

Awards...So. Many. Awards:

Awards to the top three in-person 5k finishers in each age category and in the stroller division (kid in stroller, adult pushing!) and wheelchair division. Team trophies for fastest team and most participants. Age groups: 6 and under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, etc. There's also a trophy for the volunteer "Road Warriors" who bring the most spirit and hype to their corner, and a trophy for the participant(s) who shows the most enthusiasm - costumes encouraged!

Route and Parking:

Both the 5k and 1.5 mile routes begin and end at Calvary Church (995 E 8th Street in the heart of Holland Heights) and wind through the Abbey Court/Stratford Way neighborhood and past the Heights of Hope Community Center. See route maps below. Parking is available on streets that aren't along the race route and down the road at Holland Heights Church. Please plan some extra time to get to the race start. We wouldn't want you to miss out on the pre-race excitement!

Virtual Race Instructions

Fill out the registration form and run or walk YOUR OWN 5k or 1.5 mile route, anywhere in the world between August 9-12. You can pick up your t-shirt and packet at packet pick up or on race day, or request it be shipped or dropped off to you. (There may be additional charges for shipping/drop-off.) Time yourself using the good old fashioned honor system and fill out our Finish Line Form with your time and a finish-line photo by 5pm on August 12 to be included in our raffles. (Virtual racers will not be eligible for awards this year.)

This race couldn't happen without our dedicated volunteers who ensure things run smoothly and make sure no one gets lost! But we work to ensure our volunteers also have a great time. Volunteers receive a pulled pork meal and Biggby iced coffee, and are registered in our raffle and count towards team totals for awards. There's even a coveted road warrior trophy that goes to the most enthusiastic and well-themed corner along the race route! Volunteers may also request a race t-shirt for $10. Fill out a volunteer registration to join the team!

A huge THANK YOU to these gold and silver corporate sponsors!
